FAQs
How can I help?
You can help us set up a 20-25 minute Skype session with the club at your school. Initially, we can work toward a goal of raising about $70 for one sewing machine, so together we can pull one family out of poverty and make her self-supporting.
How will you spend the funds we raise?
A sewing machine costs a little under $70. We also provide threads, initial fabric, and sewing training (if needed). The total cost to support a family is $110.
How do I know I’m making a difference?
Each sewing machine has a wooden board acknowledging the donor student(s) and school. We will send you pictures and video of the family you are supporting. In the past, a number of kids from these families have expressed their gratitude through letters to schools.
